When setting a table, especially a festive one, it is important not only to correctly arrange the dishes and lay out the appliances, but also to decorate the dishes in an original way. It is worth cutting vegetables in a spiral or turning them into flowers, as ordinary salads and side dishes will take on a unique look, and guests will remember the treat for a long time and celebrate the mastery of the hostess.

It is necessary

  • - beets;
  • - knife;
  • - vegetable peeler;
  • - skewers or toothpicks.

Instructions

Step 1

Carve a rose from beets - this vegetable has a rich color and is easy to create from. First, boil the beets in salted water for at least an hour. Use a sharp knife to check if the vegetable is done.

Step 2

Peel the beets, cut off the root and the remaining leaves. Take a peeler, preferably one with small teeth, and start cutting the strip in a spiral. Guide the peeler so that the strip is wider towards the end than it was at the beginning. The length of the strip depends on your desire to cut a rose from a lush beet or make it in the form of a bud - the longer the strip, the richer the finished flower.

Step 3

Salt the strip and wipe off excess salt and moisture with a tissue. Twist the narrow end of the strip tightly. Wrap a strip of beetroot around the center of the flower until the piece is finished.

Step 4

Gently pierce the base of the beetroot rose with a sharp thin skewer or immediately insert the flower into the prepared salad to a certain depth, so the "petals" will not fall apart. Decorate the beetroot rose with leaves cut from a cucumber peel.

Step 5

Cut the beetroot rose differently. To do this, cut the vegetable into thin circles with a sharp knife. Use a potato chip grater when in doubt that you can slice the beets neatly.

Step 6

Arrange the chopped beets on a plate and sprinkle with salt. When the beets are running out, blot the vegetable with a paper towel.

Step 7

Take one beetroot circle and roll it up. Wrap with a second blank and secure from the bottom with a sharp skewer. Place the next petal just above the previous ones so that its center covers the edges of the second circle. Wrap with another blank and fasten with a skewer.

Step 8

Continue wrapping the vegetable flower until you have a beetroot rose of the desired size. Fasten every second circle with a skewer, cut the ends of the chopsticks after finishing work with kitchen scissors. Gently bend the edges of the petals outward.

Step 9

Peel the skin of the cucumber. Wrap the base of the rose with one green strip, fix the "receptacle". Cut almond-shaped leaves from the rest of the cucumber peel. When decorating a dish with a beetroot rose, lay out a few leaves next to the flower, if desired, make stems from green onions.
