It is necessary

  • 5-6 large lemons
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 glass of water
  • 4 cups cold boiled water
  • Jug
  • Ice
  • Instructions

    Step 1

The simplest homemade lemonade is made from syrup and lemon juice.

To make the syrup, pour 1 cup of water into a saucepan and add one cup of granulated sugar. Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Turn off the heat and tackle the lemons.

    Step 2

Rinse the lemons with boiling water, or microwave them for a few minutes. This way you get more juice out of them and disinfect them at the same time. Squeeze the juice with a juicer or with your hands.

    Step 3

Pour chilled boiled water into a pitcher. Choose a jug so that the water, lemon juice, and syrup together fill no more than ¾ of its volume.

    Step 4

Add sugar syrup and lemon juice to the water, stir.

Place ice cubes in lemonade and store in the refrigerator.

    Step 5

You can garnish the lemonade with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.

It goes especially well with lemonade lemon balm - lemon mint.

    Step 6

The recipe for ginger lemonade is slightly more complicated.

Make exactly the same sugar syrup as for regular homemade lemonade.

    Squeeze out the lemon juice.

    Step 7

Peel the ginger root and grate. Squeeze the ginger juice through cheesecloth.

    Step 8

Mix boiled water, syrup, ginger and lemon juice in a jug.

Add ice cubes and leave in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
