Marshmallow is a dessert that is loved not only by kids, but also by many adults. Marshmallows, which are sold in stores, often contain various artificial colors, flavors and other harmful components, so it is best to cook this dish at home.
It is necessary
- - proteins from three chicken eggs;
- - juice of half a lemon;
- - a bag of gelatin;
- - one apple (it is better to use sour);
- - 50 ml of water;
- - a glass of sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
The first thing to do is to wash the apple, peel it, cut it, put it on a baking sheet and bake in the oven until the apples are fully cooked. This takes 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 2
While the apple is in the oven, you need to fill the gelatin bag with water and completely dissolve the gelatin (you can use the microwave).
Step 3
Separate the whites from the yolks, transfer them to a deep bowl and beat with a mixer, gradually adding sugar. The result should be a very dense protein foam.
Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and add it to the protein foam. At this stage, you can add any natural color to the proteins, such as beet juice or blueberry juice. A few drops are enough for the dessert to end up with a beautiful pastel color.
Step 4
Remove the apples from the oven and, while they are still hot, grind them with a blender until puree, then beat with a mixer and pour the gelatin mixture into it. Mix everything thoroughly (before pouring the gelatin into the puree, make sure that the grains are completely dissolved).
Step 5
Gently mix the protein air mass into the applesauce to prevent foam from settling. Gather the mass into a pastry syringe and make roses on a pre-prepared baking sheet (you can simply transfer the mass into special molds, for example, silicone).
Leave at room temperature for 10 minutes, then refrigerate for the same amount. Apple marshmallow is ready at home.
