Step 1
Wash the apples, peel, cut in half and core, then cut into small cubes. Pour them into a saucepan or a heavy-bottomed saucepan, add water, put on medium heat, bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly so that the apples do not burn. When the pieces are soft, remove them from the heat and use a spoon to rub them through a sieve to form a homogeneous mass. You can also use a blender to puree apples. While the puree is cooling down, move on to the next step in making homemade marshmallows.
Step 2
Beat the whites well and gently add the sugar, then cold applesauce and beat until it turns into a fluffy foam. Immediately spread the mass into parchment paper molds, put on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 20 minutes. Paper cups can be used instead of molds. When the marshmallow becomes dense, remove it from the oven and cool without putting it out of the molds. Then put the cups in hot water for 2-3 seconds, turn them over and put the marshmallows on a plate.
