Kiwi is great for many desserts. So the kiwi jam will turn out to be very beautiful and tasty.
In Russia, they are used to making jam from garden and forest berries. Jam from raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, red and black currants, cloudberries, apples are not exotic for us. They tried all such jam, and many of them are already tired of such jam. Diversify your desserts with quirky and simple kiwi jam.
Here's a recipe I found. It is very simple, but this jam will surely become an interesting treat for many.
What you need to make kiwi jam: 10 medium kiwis, 2 bananas, 2 teaspoons of gelatin, 2 cups of sugar (more or less, to taste, I prefer less), a small lemon.
Preparation
Chop bananas, kiwi (kiwi must also be peeled beforehand). Stir, remember while stirring, add sugar, gelatin and lemon juice to the resulting puree (optional). Bring to a boil over low heat, cool.
If you wish, you can skip the banana.
Helpful hint: any homemade jam is much healthier than the ready-made jam that is sold in stores. It's all about preservatives, stabilizers, thickeners, which are absolutely not useful for our body. It is clear that it is much easier to buy and open a jar with a ready-made product, but it is worth remembering that the harm caused by individual "food" additives may not be comparable to the saving of time for cooking.
