Whey is a by-product in the production of curd. Whey is produced by the clotting of milk. This product contains many valuable micro- and macroelements, as well as proteins that are very useful for digestion and our body as a whole. Making whey is not difficult, especially since in addition to this product you will get wonderful homemade cottage cheese.

- 2 liters of milk;
- 1 teaspoon sour cream;
- sieve;
- gauze.
Instructions
Step 1
Add sour cream to the milk and stir.
Step 2
Place the milk in a warm place for souring for a day.
Step 3
Pour the sour milk into a saucepan and place in a water bath for 25-30 minutes. Don't stir.
Step 4
When the milk has curdled, remove it from the heat.
Step 5
Cover the sieve with gauze and strain the whey from the curd.
Step 6
Tie the curd in cheesecloth to compress and remove the remaining whey.
Step 7
Cool the serum.
Step 8
Store the prepared whey in the refrigerator.
