The very name "Bulbash" has Belarusian roots, because it is Belarus that is the birthplace of this type of vodka. Very often you can hear how the Belarusians themselves are called Bulbash, as they are famous for their love of potatoes. To create bulbash vodka, a wide variety of components are selected, this is grain alcohol, and an infusion of oatmeal, as well as special varieties of raisins and honey are added.

Calling homemade Bulbash vodka is not entirely correct, it is. rather, an alcoholic tincture.

The infusion of oats gives vodka a soft and restrained taste, and honey and raisins have a sweetish pleasant aroma. The strength of this drink is about 40 degrees. Making vodka at home is easy enough, observing all stages of production.

Components

Vodka is made from alcohol and water, but it is worth noting that you need to buy alcohol already purified and filtered. If your alcohol is not purified, then birch charcoal will help you at home. Place crushed birch charcoal - about 700 grams - in a 12 liter container for exactly 21 days, shaking the bottle every day. As a reminder, you need grain alcohol for the recipe.

After the alcohol has cleared, pour the liquid into another container. Put 500 grams of washed raisins in the bottle and fill with alcohol. Thus, infuse alcohol with raisins for two weeks.

After the time has elapsed, add oat infusion to the liquid, which can be made as follows: take oats and grind it with a coffee grinder, then take a thermos and pour boiling water over it. Insist the resulting chopped mixture of oats for 12 hours, and then add to the bottle with alcohol and raisins.

Additives

So that vodka has a sweetish aroma and honey is added to the taste, they say that it is best to use linden honey, the approximate dosage is determined as follows: 50 grams of honey accounts for 50 grams of vodka. It is added to the bottle last - the day before serving, since honey is very sweet and, if you overdo it in a bottle with alcohol, it can taste sugary.

Production

Belarusian vodka is not only strong, but also very harsh, you can't drink it without a snack.

Bulbash has long become a real Belarusian brand, and therefore its production is not only put on stream, but also export-oriented. Export vodka is stylized and has interesting packaging details, for example, the lid of the bulb has an opening indicator, and the bottle shows the temperature of the drink, changing color when cooled.
