  • For bigos:
  • - 500 g of cabbage;
  • - 4 onions;
  • - 150 g ham;
  • - 1 green apple;
  • - 2 tomatoes;
  • - 400 g of pork;
  • - greens;
  • - salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare zeppelins, which are often called pyzy in Belarus. To do this, boil 500 g of jacket potatoes, cool, remove the skin from it. Grind in a meat grinder or with a crush. Take the same amount of raw potatoes, peel, rinse, dry on a towel. Grate on a fine grater or chop in a food processor. Drain the liquid. Combine boiled and boiled potatoes, add salt to taste, mix the mass.

Mix pork and ground beef, add chopped onions, chopped parsley or dill, salt and pepper. Stir in the minced meat.

Make a circle out of the potato mass, press on it with your hand, turn it into a cake. Put a tablespoon of minced meat in its middle, blind the edges of the zeppelin well. So formulate all the products. Dip them in boiling salted water, cook over low heat for about half an hour. After 10 minutes, gently stir the contents of the pan with a slotted spoon so that the puffs do not stick to the bottom. Serve hot with sour cream and herbs.

Prepare the dish zhur, popular in Belarus. This is a delicious and original soup. First, put rye or oat flour into the water, stir. Put the mass in heat for 3 hours so that it begins to ferment.

After this time, strain the base, put it on fire. While stirring, pour in the cream or milk. Fry the ham in butter, put it in the soup. If you are cooking with raw pork, do not fry it, but put it in a saucepan straight away.

Send there finely chopped onions, carrots, after 10 minutes - crushed potatoes. Mix the zhur well. Add your favorite spices to taste.

When serving, add half a boiled egg to each plate. You can squeeze a clove of garlic into it.

Surprise your guests or homemade with a Belarusian dish bigos. Chop the cabbage and finely chop the onions. Cut the ham into strips. Pieces - apple and tomatoes.

Cut the pork into medium-sized squares, fry them in vegetable oil until lightly browned. Place a third of the chopped onion on top and half of the cabbage on top. Then - another third of the onion, with ham on it. Next come tomatoes, apples, put onion and the remaining cabbage on top.
