Not everyone likes sea buckthorn jam because of its specific taste. But it's a great base for homemade wine. Raw materials can even be candied, the only condition is mold-free.

For homemade sea buckthorn jam wine you will need:

  • 2 kg of jam;
  • 4 liters of filtered or boiled spring water;
  • wine yeast.

Put jam in a large bottle, stir with water and add yeast. Leave in a dark place for 10 days, then strain and put back to ferment, putting on a rubber glove with a small hole on the container. The result will be obtained only after 3 months. When fermentation is over, strain the wine several times through cheesecloth, pour into clean bottles and put in a dark place.

Making sea buckthorn wine is a long and painstaking process that lasts several months. It is important not only to select the right berries and calculate the proportions of all ingredients, but also not to miss the end of fermentation. But if everything is done correctly, you will get a light semi-sweet or table drink.
