Homemade butter is a product that surpasses store-bought counterparts not only in taste, but also in composition. Often, oils on supermarket shelves contain a large amount of flavors, dyes, preservatives and other things, which is why most housewives are increasingly interested in how you can make delicious butter at home.

In order to make butter from milk, you first need to purchase the "correct" milk: whole, not skimmed, fatty. The best option is to purchase the product from friends who keep goats or a cow (factory milk and cream will not work).

So, buy three liters of milk, pour it into a wide can and refrigerate for 14-18 hours. After a while, take out the can, take a spoon and carefully remove the formed cream from the milk (about 500-700 ml of cream should be obtained from three liters of fat milk). Put the milk in the refrigerator, place the cream in a blender bowl and let it stand at room temperature for about an hour (warm cream works best for whipping into butter).

After a while, you can start whipping them: turn on the blender at minimum speed and whip the cream until it has approximately doubled in volume, then slightly increase the speed of the kitchen appliance and continue whipping. As soon as you notice that water (buttermilk) has started to form in the blender bowl, reduce the whisking speed to a minimum.

After about 15-20 minutes of whisking, a light beige lump and a translucent light liquid (buttermilk) will form in the blender bowl. The white lump is the butter, buttermilk is a healthy product that can be used to make, for example, pie dough. If desired, you can make salted butter or chocolate from milk, in the first case, when whipping cream, you need to add salt to them to taste, in the second - cocoa and powdered sugar.
