Green tea has many benefits. Due to the kakhetins it contains, it helps to reduce body fat and regulates body weight. The theanine in it helps to strengthen the immune system and has a positive effect on nervous and mental activity. Antioxidants prevent aging and environmental stress. But all the positive properties are characteristic only of properly brewed tea, drunk at a certain time and in limited doses.
It is necessary
- - filtered or bottled water:
- - a teapot or strainer;
- - leafy green tea.
Instructions
Step 1
To brew green tea, prepare filtered or bottled water. Tap water contains chlorine, fluoride and other chemicals that affect the taste of the drink not for the better. Heat the water to 80-83 ° C, if it boils, let it cool down. Green tea is never brewed with boiling water, as it acquires a bitter aftertaste and loses most of its beneficial properties.
Step 2
Take loose tea. The bagged leaf is made from powdered leaves, which quickly lose their aroma and freshness, in addition, for its production, the lower leaves of the tea bush are mainly used, which contain much less nutrients.
Step 3
For one cup of green tea (150-200 ml), you need to take one teaspoon of tea leaves (5 g). If you are brewing tea in a teapot, place as many spoons in it as there are cups you intend to pour from the first brew. Dip the tea leaves in hot water and leave for no more than 2.5 minutes. If you brewed tea through a strainer, take it out of the cup, if you infused it in a teapot, then pour the entire drink into cups. You can brew the same tea leaves 2-3 more times. Each time the drink contains less caffeine. Tea that has been brewed for a very long time is not only too bitter, it is also dangerous, as it can cause heart palpitations and stomach upset.
Step 4
Sugar is rarely added to green tea, as it itself has a slightly sweet taste. If you want even sweeter, add some honey to the drink. Also, green tea is drunk with lemon, brewed with mint and ginger, jasmine, rosebuds, lemongrass, berries and much more are added to the tea leaves. Good expensive green tea, as a rule, does not need additional aroma and flavor additives, since it itself is a whole symphony of smells and flavors.
Step 5
Drink green tea an hour before or an hour after a meal, especially if you have iron deficiency anemia or your body needs calcium. The fact is that some of the substances in green tea inhibit the absorption of these substances.
Step 6
If you are taking any supplements and medications prescribed by your doctor, consult if you can drink green tea, because some of the substances in it are capable of entering into compounds with substances in medicines and dietary supplements.
Step 7
Drink green tea warm. Very hot drinks in general, according to recent studies, contribute to the development of various diseases of the throat and stomach, and green tea is no exception. But you should not drink too cold tea, since over time, due to oxidation, the amount of catechins and theanine, as well as vitamins C and B, decreases.
