Olivier salad is a traditional dish on the New Year's table. Despite its popularity, each housewife has her own recipe for this salad. It changes depending on the preferences of family members.
It is necessary
- Potatoes - 4 pcs.,
- Egg - 5 pcs.,
- Beef - 400 gr.,
- Canned green peas - 1 medium can (400 gr.),
- Pickled cucumbers (approx. 15 cm long) - 4 pcs.,
- Onions - ½ head,
- Mayonnaise - 200 gr.,
- Ground black pepper - ¼ teaspoon.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the beef, remove excess fat and films, put in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Cook the meat for 1, 5 hours.
Step 2
Put the eggs in a saucepan, cover with cold water, bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes. To prevent the eggs from bursting, they must be removed from the refrigerator in advance and warmed up to room temperature. You can add a pinch of salt before cooking.
Step 3
Rinse the potatoes thoroughly, boil them in their skins.
Step 4
Cool all boiled foods. Peel the eggs, peel the potatoes. Cut meat, potatoes, eggs and pickled cucumbers into small cubes. Finely chop the onion. Put all the products in a bowl. Add green peas (no marinade). Season salad "Olivier" with mayonnaise, sprinkle with black pepper and stir thoroughly. Mayonnaise can be used with both high fat and low calorie content.
