This is a delicious snack cake with a cheese filling made with the addition of fresh dill. This cake turns out to be beautiful, it will decorate your table. In addition, it also turns out to be quite satisfying.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - 300 g of corn grits;
  • - 1 1/2 liters of water;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of butter, hard cheese;
  • - 1 teaspoon of butter (optional) and salt.
  • For the cheese filling:
  • - 200 g of hard cheese;
  • - 1 bunch of fresh dill;
  • - salt pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Boil 1.5 liters of water in a large saucepan, add salt and 1 teaspoon of butter. Add corn grits to boiling water. Cook for 25-30 minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spatula.

Step 2

Rinse a mold with a diameter of 16-18 centimeters with cold water, pour the resulting flour mass into it, let it cool (you can put it in the refrigerator).

Step 3

Prepare the cheese filling by rubbing the hard cheese on a fine grater. Rinse a bunch of fresh dill, shake off excess moisture from it, pat dry on a paper towel and chop finely with a sharp knife. Stir the cheese with herbs, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 4

Remove the cooled dough from the mold and cut it into 3 cakes. Line the form with parchment paper. Put the bottom crust in a mold, sprinkle with half of the cheese filling on top. Next, cover with a second crust, lay out the remaining filling. Rub hard cheese and butter on top of the last cake (3 tablespoons each).

Step 5

Bake the cheese snack cake at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes (oven must be preheated).

Step 6

It is best served hot. If you like, you can add other ingredients such as ham to the snack cake filling for a more satisfying cake.
