If you want to give real joy to your loved ones, especially children, make apple marmalade at home! These amazing candies have a natural sweet taste, delicate texture and a very beautiful appearance. Most importantly, they do not contain any food chemistry.

It is necessary

  • - apples - 1 kg;
  • - water - 500 ml;
  • - sugar - 800 g;
  • - pectin - 12 g;
  • - citric acid - 1/3 teaspoon.

Instructions

Step 1

For the preparation of marmalade, sour apple varieties, for example, "White filling", are suitable. Apples need to be rinsed and completely peeled and cores with membranes and seeds. You do not need to throw away the peel or the middle. We put them in a saucepan with a thick bottom, add 500 ml of water. Bring to a boil and then simmer for about 10 minutes. After cooling a little, we filter the broth into a separate bowl.

Step 2

Cut the peeled apples into thin slices - no more than 2 mm. Wrap in a baking sleeve, foil or parchment. We place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees and simmer in our own juice for 15 minutes. Then we take out, rub through a sieve and place in a saucepan with a thick bottom. Mix the applesauce with the previously obtained broth. Add pectin.

Step 3

We put the pan on fire and, bringing to a boil, cook for about 5 minutes. Then we put on low heat and cook for an hour and a half.

Step 4

Divide 800 g of sugar into three approximately equal parts. Add the first part of the sugar to the applesauce after boiling for 20 minutes. Then, at the same intervals, add the two remaining parts.

Step 5

After an hour and a half of cooking, add a third of a teaspoon of citric acid dissolved in one tablespoon of water. Remove the puree from the heat.

Step 6

Preheat the oven to 100 degrees. We line the form with parchment. Pour the applesauce into it and set the oven for an hour and a half. The oven door should be left ajar so that the temperature inside is not too high.

Step 7

We take out the finished apple marmalade from the oven, free it from the parchment and cut it into small pieces of any shape. Dip each piece in sugar or powdered sugar. You can also use sesame seeds or coconut for dusting.
