Capelin is a small fish, but it has a rich, bright taste. And if you fry it in a pan in batter, it will turn out to be simply incomparable. Despite the fact that preparing a dish in this way will require a whole kilogram of fish, it will surely fly away in a matter of time.
It is necessary
- - capelin - 1 kg;
- - flour - 200 g;
- - chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
- - water - 100 ml;
- - ground black pepper;
- - salt;
- - sunflower oil;
- - frying pan.
Instructions
Step 1
Clean the capelin, rinse under running water and leave to dry on paper towels. In the meantime, you can prepare the batter.
Step 2
Pour flour into a bowl and add to it 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil, warm water, 0.5 teaspoons of black ground pepper and salt to taste. Mix everything until smooth.
Step 3
After that, break the chicken eggs into a separate bowl and beat with a fork or whisk, and then pour them into the bowl to the flour mass and stir thoroughly. The batter is ready.
Step 4
Take a frying pan and pour some sunflower oil into it. When it's warm enough, set the temperature to a moderate temperature. Now dip each fish one by one in batter and place in a frying pan. In this way, fry all the capelin on both sides until golden brown.
Step 5
Ready fried capelin in batter can be served both hot and cold, along with any side dish, for example, baked potatoes, or just with a fresh vegetable salad.
