Seaweed has been used for food for many centuries, it contains a lot of useful substances: iodine, phosphorus and other trace elements necessary for the human body. Since it is an alga, it is 80% water. For storage, it is dried, while all its valuable properties are preserved. Dried seaweed is used instead of salt by grinding in a coffee grinder. To prepare salads and other dishes from it, it is processed in the following way.

It is necessary

    • 1) prepared seaweed - 100 g;
    • 2) carrots - 100 g;
    • 3) garlic - 2 cloves;
    • 4) vegetable oil - 1-2 tablespoons;
    • 5) ground red pepper
    • salt
    • sugar
    • soy sauce to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Remove impurities from the seaweed. Then soak it in cold water for 10-12 hours, take about 1 liter of water for 100 g of cabbage. Do not pour out the remaining water, it contains many substances beneficial to the skin, let it settle and use it for washing or make ice cubes. After soaking, rinse the cabbage well to remove all the sand and mucus, as a result, it will turn out to be more than 1 kg. Cut into thin strips if you bought a sheet.

Step 2

Pour cold water over the cabbage and boil for 20 minutes (from the moment of boiling), then drain the water. Repeat three times. Such processing will improve its color, taste and smell, and the content of nutrients will not change significantly. Seaweed is ready for salads and other dishes. You can store it in the refrigerator for about a week, or freeze it in the freezer and use it as needed.

Step 3

Grate the carrots, salt and quickly fry in a hot skillet in a little vegetable oil. Add crushed garlic and paprika there. Combine the cabbage with the rest of the vegetables, add soy sauce and, if desired, sugar (1/2 teaspoon). A delicious seaweed salad, which is easy to prepare every day and for a festive table, is ready.
