Instructions

Step 1

First, we thoroughly rinse the berries under running water and use a small knife to remove from them

pistils. Then we pour the "raw material" into a saucepan.

Step 2

At this time, boil water in a kettle and pour boiling water over the hawthorn berries so that they are completely covered. Cook the berries until they are soft.

Step 3

We put them in a bowl with a slotted spoon and again fill with water (this time - cold), and pour sugar into the hot broth. Cook the sugar syrup for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Then add chilled fruits to it and cook for another 10 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the fruit and sugar mass from the heat and leave to cool overnight. The next day, drain the syrup from there and cook it for another 3 minutes.

Step 5

Put the hawthorn fruits in the boiling syrup and cook until they become translucent.

Transfer the hot confiture to pre-sterilized jars, close the lids tightly and leave to cool upside down.
