String beans are long green shoots. They have a delicate taste and are great for making low-calorie meals.
It is necessary
-
- green beans;
- vegetable oil;
- salt;
- garlic;
- onion.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose green beans. It can be young or overripe, the first option is preferable for frying. Young pods have a bright green color, they are elastic; overripe become dark green. While frying, young pods will remain tender and cook quickly enough, overripe pods become tough and dry and take longer to cook.
Step 2
Prepare the beans for eating. Be sure to thoroughly clean the pods from excess twigs and rinse them. Put a saucepan of clean water over high heat, bring it to a boil, lightly salt. Place the pods in boiling water. If they are young, cook for about five to seven minutes, overripe should remain in the water for at least ten. If you overcook beans, then they will lose not only their taste, but also most of the nutrients that decompose under strong temperature exposure. Place the pods in a colander and let all the liquid drain completely. After that, the product is ready to be fried or added to any other dish.
Step 3
Peel a few cloves of garlic and one onion. Chop the garlic with a knife and finely chop the onion. Put a saucepan (deep frying pan) on high heat, then add a couple of tablespoons of vegetable oil to it for frying.
Step 4
Sauté the onion until soft and golden brown for a few minutes, then add the garlic to the pan and simmer for another two minutes. Then you can fry the green beans. You can put it in a saucepan in its original form or cut it into pieces (adjust the size as you wish).
Step 5
Continue to fry the green beans, onions and garlic for about ten minutes (until the beans are cooked through). Season the dish with lightly salt.
