It is necessary

  • - 2 slices of bacon
  • - 400 g shrimp
  • - 2 tbsp. tomato paste
  • - 1 tbsp. smoked paprika
  • - 1 tbsp. thyme
  • - 1 cup instant corn grits
  • - ½ white onion
  • - 400 g canned tomatoes
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • - 2 tbsp. butter
  • - 4 cloves of garlic
  • - 1 tbsp. hot sauce

Instructions

Step 1

Roll fresh or defrosted shrimp in herbs and spices. Let them steep for 20-30 minutes, or preferably an hour.

Step 2

Heat a skillet over low heat and fry the bacon on it until golden brown. Then detach the meat from the bacon and remove it from the pan. Leave the bacon for frying the other ingredients.

Step 3

Place the shrimps in a skillet and fry them a little on each side. Then remove them on a platter, cover with a plate and set aside.

Step 4

Cut the tomatoes into cubes and add to the pan along with ¼ part of the water. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then simmer covered over medium heat.

Step 5

Now prepare the cereal. To do this, boil 3 cups of water, add corn grits there, reduce heat and cook, covered with a lid, stir from time to time.

Step 6

As soon as a creamy shade appears on the cereal, add butter there. Combine the resulting sauce with another, more spicy sauce and mix well.

Step 7

Take a deep cup and place the cooked corn grits on top of it. Place a few shrimp on top and pour the tomato sauce over them. Garnish with herbs when serving.
