Fried shrimps with garlic

Large shrimps are more suitable for cooking - they look more spectacular. Serve them directly in the sauce, or serve the delicious gravy separately.

You will need:

- 800 g of large shrimps;

- 3 cloves of garlic;

- 1 lemon;

- a bunch of parsley;

- olive oil for frying;

- salt;

- ground red pepper.

Boil the shrimps in salted water, peel, removing the shell and head. Leave the ponytails. Squeeze the juice from the lemon, crush the garlic in a mortar, finely chop the parsley. Put greens and chopped garlic in lemon juice, stir and let it brew for 15-20 minutes.

Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan, add the shrimps and fry them until golden brown, turning over with a wooden spatula. Remove the cooked shrimps with a slotted spoon, place them on warmed plates, sprinkle with ground red pepper and pour over the lemon-garlic sauce. Serve separately toasted white bread toast or thick slices of fresh baguette.

Spicy marinade shrimps

In this recipe, lemon and garlic are complemented with tomato. You will need:

- 1 kg of frozen boiled shrimp;

- 2 lemons;

- 2 cloves of garlic;

- 3 ripe medium sized tomatoes;

- 1 bay leaf;

- a pinch of ground nutmeg;

- 3 tablespoons of olive oil;

- a bunch of parsley.

Squeeze the juice from the lemons, grate the zest of one fruit on a fine grater. Finely chop the parsley, chop the garlic. Pour boiling water over the tomatoes, remove the skin and seeds, chop the pulp, and then rub through a sieve.

To speed up the process, tomatoes can be chopped in a blender.

Blanch the shrimps in boiling water, discard in a colander and let the water drain. In a deep bowl, combine tomato puree, garlic, lemon juice and zest, salt, parsley, bay leaf and nutmeg. Drizzle the shrimp with olive oil and place in a bowl. Close it with a lid and put it in the cold.

Marinate shrimp for 4-6 hours. Then heat the olive oil in a skillet and fry over high heat for 4-5 minutes. Place the shrimp on a serving platter and drizzle with lemon juice. Serve immediately.
