The right sour cream sauce makes any dish tender and delicious. It is especially good and even irreplaceable in combination with lean meat, dry cutlets, lean fish or fresh vegetables. Try your recipe and decide if you will continue to serve these dishes without such a delicious addition.
Sour cream sauce for vegetables
Ingredients:
- 200 g sour cream;
- 200 g of natural yogurt;
- 2 tbsp. mayonnaise;
- 1-3 cloves of garlic;
- 10 g each green onion, parsley and dill;
- 1/3 tsp ground black pepper;
- 3/4 tsp salt.
Rinse the onion feathers, dill and parsley sprigs and pat dry on a paper towel. Grind them in a blender or food processor along with the peeled garlic cloves. Combine sour cream, yogurt and mayonnaise in one bowl, add the herbs and garlic prepared earlier and mix well with a whisk. Season with salt and pepper and serve with thick strips of fresh vegetables.
Simple sour cream sauce for meat or poultry
Ingredients:
- 150 g sour cream;
- 20 g butter;
- 50 g flour;
- 350 ml of broth or water;
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg;
- 1/3 tsp ground white pepper;
- 1 tsp salt.
Melt the butter and saute the flour in it, stirring continuously with a wooden spatula, until brown. Not
stopping stirring, pour the broth into the pan in a thin stream, then add sour cream, salt and spices. Cook the sauce until it thickens, remembering to stir it so it doesn't burn, 7-10 minutes. You can stew meat or poultry in it, or cool slightly and serve in a gravy boat.
Thick sour cream sauce for fish
Ingredients:
- 100 g sour cream;
- 2 chicken eggs;
- 5 stalks of pickled wild garlic;
- 3 sprigs of parsley;
- salt.
Boil the eggs hard-boiled, cover with ice water and free from the shell. Rub them with a fork or grate them to make a homogeneous mass. Chop the wild garlic into small pieces. Chop the parsley leaves finely. Mix all the components of the sauce with sour cream and salt to taste.
Universal spicy sour cream sauce
Ingredients:
- 150 g sour cream;
- 100 g horseradish;
- 50 g of dill;
- 3/4 tsp salt.
Peel the horseradish and grate it on a fine grater. Slice the dill after cutting off the tough stems of the twigs. Stir everything with sour cream and salt and serve with meat, poultry, fish or salad dressings.
Sweet sour cream sauce:
- 100 g sour cream;
- 50 ml of fruit juice (orange, pineapple, apricot, cherry, etc.);
- 50 g of white sugar;
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon.
Put sour cream in a bowl of a blender or mixer, pour in fruit juice. Beat everything on a slow speed, gradually adding sugar and cinnamon. Stir the sweet sauce until the white free-flowing ingredient is dissolved. Pour ice cream balls, a slice of pie, or pancakes on top of it.
