It is necessary

  • - 1, 3 kg of sugar
  • - 1 glass of water
  • - 1 kg of peaches
  • - a quarter teaspoon of citric acid
  • - vanillin

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to rinse the peaches in cold running water. Then prepare two pots: one should contain boiling water, and the other should contain cold water. Add a teaspoon of citric acid to a container of cold water.

Step 2

Immerse the washed peaches in boiling water for 10 seconds and immediately transfer to a saucepan with cold water. Remove the peaches from the water and peel them off. After the described procedure, this will be incredibly easy.

Step 3

Prepare the syrup in an enamel bowl: a large bowl or saucepan. To do this, pour water into a bowl, stir with sugar and bring to a boil, removing the resulting dirty foam with a slotted spoon.

Step 4

Meanwhile, cut the peeled peaches into small pieces, remove the seeds.

Step 5

In boiling syrup, gently dip the fruits cut into pieces. Then wait for the peach syrup to boil again and turn off the heat immediately.

Step 6

Remove the bowl of jam from the stove, cover with paper or a towel and leave the fruit to soak in the syrup for about six hours.

Step 7

After the specified time has elapsed, put the dishes back on the stove, bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook, not forgetting to stir for half an hour.

Step 8

When the jam is ready, add citric acid and vanillin to it, mix everything very carefully.

Step 9

Pour the jam hot into pre-sterilized jars and roll up with metal lids. If the jam is sent for storage in the refrigerator, then it needs to be cooled slightly and closed with nylon lids.
