From time immemorial, fish dishes have been considered noble dishes, which they still like to cook for big holidays. Especially fish is held in high esteem by Orthodox Christians. Indeed, even during fasting, it is allowed to eat it on specially designated days. Carp is a very good option for baking. When cooked in the oven, it turns out to be incredibly tasty, juicy and tender.
It is necessary
- - Large carp - 1, 5-1, 8 kg;
- - Large onions - 1 pc.;
- - Large lemon - 1 pc.;
- - Sunflower oil - 100-120 g;
- - Ground black pepper to taste;
- - Salt - 1 tsp;
- - Lettuce leaves or fresh herbs;
- - Baking tray or baking dish.
Instructions
Step 1
In a carp, cut the abdomen lengthwise, peel off entrails and scales, remove the gills, and then rinse under cool running water and pat dry with paper towels. Make 4-5 cross cuts in the carcass.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine salt and black pepper. The amount of pepper is taken to taste. You can take a ratio with respect to salt 1: 1. After that, rub the fish thoroughly inside and out with this mixture, paying particular attention to the incisions.
Step 3
Peel the onions, cut into quarters and rinse. And then it also needs to be salt and pepper. Cut off 4-5 thin rings from the lemon and set them aside, squeeze the juice from the rest and add it to the spiced onion. After that, transfer the onion along with the lemon juice into the belly of the fish and distribute it evenly.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet or baking dish with sunflower oil and place the carp, which also needs to be sprinkled with plenty of oil. Place the pending lemon circles in the cuts and let the fish sit for 15-20 minutes.
Step 5
After that, turn on the oven and preheat it to 200 degrees. Then place a baking sheet with fish in it and bake for half an hour. After the time has elapsed, remove the baking sheet and pour the resulting juice over the carp. Then send the baking sheet back to the oven and bake the fish for another 20-25 minutes until tender.
Step 6
Transfer the finished carp to a large platter. It can be served immediately, including with stewed or fresh vegetables, garnished with lettuce, olives or herbs.
