Recently, the so-called instant food products or PBPs have become more and more famous. This is facilitated by the acceleration of the modern pace of life, when people spend most of their time on work, thereby relegating to the background the previously existing stereotypes of habitual homemade breakfasts, lunches and dinners.

Soup glass or frozen convenience foods

One cannot but agree that cooking is troublesome. But today grocery stores offer a wide selection of all kinds of PBPs that help save time for those who are always busy and those who do not like to stand at the stove for a long time. Instant pasta, instant soups and cereals, frozen grocery items - everyone has eaten instant food at least once. But is it worth it to regularly buy ready-made fast food or is it more useful to give preference to good nutrition.

Practice shows that instant mashed potatoes, like soup, are more popular than frozen convenience foods. This is easy to explain. Firstly, soups in cups do not require special storage conditions, secondly, instant soups perfectly imitate a full meal, and thirdly, they are easy and quick to prepare. In connection with all of the above, it turns out that frozen semi-finished products are not so practical and are less in demand on hikes, long trips and wherever there is no refrigerator.

This leads to the main advantages of instant soup - simplicity, speed and convenience of preparation, which help to save valuable time. Despite the obvious advantages, it is worth remembering that instant soups are not entirely natural products. Therefore, it is worth giving preference to such food in rare, even exceptional cases. Opponents of PBP consider this type of food to be of poor quality that does not benefit the body.

Nutritionists advise against steaming instant soups in the plastic packaging in which they are sold. It is better to use any glass or ceramic dishes. The reason lies in the fact that polystyrene packaging, when interacting with hot water, begins to emit harmful substances. When buying instant soup, pay attention to the ingredients. The safest option would be one where colors, artificial food additives and flavors are not listed among the ingredients.

Disadvantages of instant soups

Quick soup is fraught with several threats. First of all, the danger of instant soups lies in the simplicity of their preparation. Having got used to making soup powder in a matter of minutes, some housewives are then too lazy to cook delicious and complex dishes. In addition, powdered soups cannot satisfy hunger for a long time. The fact is that instant soups are a source of easily digestible starch, which is a source of fast carbohydrates. The lack of nutrients and vitamins in the soup leads to the fact that an hour or two after a meal again there is a feeling of hunger.

Supporters of nutritious nutrition also note the high content of various synthetic additives in instant foods that can harm the body. Therefore, when choosing instant soups, carefully study the composition of all ingredients, paying special attention to the content of harmful monosodium glutamate in food, which can cause liver or kidney disease.

Fast food products undoubtedly save not only time, but also money. But the reduction in the price of the product is mainly due to the use of surrogate raw materials that do not benefit the body, therefore, as a result, together with savings, you get a solid share of harm to your health.
