Modern kitchen equipment can do just about anything, even preparing first courses practically without your intervention. We are talking about a slow cooker, in which you can even cook such a dish as pea soup with smoked meats. Make it with poultry or meat.

Simple pea soup with smoked chicken

Ingredients:

- 1 large smoked leg;

- 1 tbsp. peas;

- 1.5 liters of water;

- 1 carrot;

- 1 onion;

- 3 potatoes;

- 1 green bell pepper;

- 0.5 tsp hops-suneli;

- a pinch of cardamom;

- salt.

If the leg looks too fat for you, take 4 wings instead and cut them along the phalanges.

Rinse the peas several times, each time allowing the liquid to drain completely until it becomes clear. Pour cold water over the peas, leave to soak for 2 hours, then drain in a colander. Cut the flesh from the leg into small slices along with the skin and fat. Combine both main ingredients of the dish, peas and chicken, in a multicooker bowl, pour in water and cover the dishes with a lid. Select the Soup mode on the display and set the timer to 2 hours.

Peel the potatoes, cut them into cubes, and place them in cold water to prevent browning. Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater. Remove the husk from the onion and chop it into thin half rings. Remove the stalk and seeds from the bell pepper and chop it into narrow strips. Transfer the prepared vegetables to the smoked pea brew. Mix everything well, season with spices and salt to taste. Simmer the dish for another hour without changing the cooking program, then pour it into plates. Sprinkle portions with fresh herbs and serve with bread or croutons.

Pea Soup Recipe with Smoked Meat and Sausages

Ingredients:

- 100 g of smoked pork belly and hunting sausages;

- 1 tbsp. split peas;

- 1.25 liters of water;

- 1 carrot;

- 2-3 potatoes;

- 3 stalks of leeks;

- 0.5 chili pepper pods;

- 0.5 tsp thyme leaves;

- 0.5 tsp each Italian herbs and a mixture of 5 peppers;

- 1 tsp sea salt.

You can also use ordinary onions in a dish, but leeks have a more subtle aroma and a sweetish taste, which is clearly felt even in a rich soup with smoked meats.

Cut the hunting sausages and brisket into small pieces. Chop the leek stalks and chili with a knife. Peel the root vegetables and chop them with a knife into sticks. Combine smoked meats, peas and chopped vegetable ingredients, as well as thyme leaves in a multicooker container. Add water, Italian herbs, peppers and sea salt there and stir everything well until the food is evenly distributed. Lower the lid of the multicooker, turn on the "Soup" mode and set the cooking time to 1.5 hours.
