There are a lot of recipes for steamed cutlets. After all, the hostess's task is to make the dietary dish not only healthy, but also tasty, so that it is liked by the home. Cutlets are prepared not only from meat, chicken and fish, but also from vegetables.
Steamed meat patties
You will need:
- veal or lean beef - 500 grams;
- pork - 500 grams;
- egg - 2 pieces;
- onion - 2-3 pieces;
- white bread - 300 grams;
- milk - 1 glass;
- a bunch of parsley;
- salt, pepper - to taste.
Cut the bread into slices and pour over the milk. Pass the meat and onions through a meat grinder. After the milk is absorbed, squeeze the bread a little and pass it together with the resulting minced meat through a meat grinder again. Add eggs, finely chopped parsley, salt and pepper, mix everything thoroughly and beat off. Form small patties, put in a double boiler and cook for 20-30 minutes.
Steamed chicken cutlets
You will need:
- chicken breast - 2 pieces;
- carrots - 1 piece;
- onion - 1 piece;
- vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- egg - 1 piece;
- salt, pepper - to taste.
Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the onion into small cubes. Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan and put on fire, let it warm up, put onions and carrots there. Fry for 3-5 minutes and cool. Rinse the chicken under cold water, cut into slices and grind in a meat grinder. Add egg, carrots, salt, pepper and mix until smooth. Moisten your hands with water, separate small parts from the minced meat and form cutlets. Steam for 15-20 minutes.
Steamed vegetable cutlets
You will need:
- medium-sized potatoes - 2 pieces;
- medium-sized beets - 1 piece;
- small carrots - 1 piece;
- onion - 1 piece;
- semolina - 2 tbsp. spoons;
- salt to taste.
Boil potatoes in their skins, cool, peel and grate. Wash the carrots and beets, peel, finely grate and squeeze to remove excess juice. Finely chop the onion and mix with potatoes, beets and carrots. Pour semolina with a small amount of boiling water and let it steam, then add to vegetables, salt. You can add spices to taste. Mix everything well. Make cutlets from minced meat, place in a double boiler and cook for 25-30 minutes. Serve ready-made vegetable cutlets with sour cream.
On a note
It is possible to steam cutlets even if there is no multicooker or double boiler. You can use a special rack with holes for steaming, or you can do without it. To do this, pour a couple of glasses of water into a deep frying pan or a low saucepan, put a metal colander (or grate) on top, make sure that the bottom of the colander does not touch the water, put cutlets on it, and cover with a high lid or metal bowl on top. If a colander or grate is not at hand, the cutlets can be put in a pan with high sides and a thick bottom, add a little water so that it does not completely cover them, cover and cook over the smallest heat.
