It is necessary

    • cod - 3 kg.;
    • lemon;
    • flour - 1 tbsp.;
    • eggs - 2 pcs.;
    • vegetable oil - 1 tbsp.;
    • salt;
    • pepper;
    • water.

Instructions

Step 1

Take frozen cod and put it in cold water with a little salt. This will allow you to quickly defrost the fish while retaining the juices you need.

Step 2

After the fish is thawed, it must be cut up. Cut off the head, tail and fins. But don't throw it away. They will be useful to you in the future for cooking fish soup. As a rule, there are no entrails in frozen fish. Cut the fish along the ridge. This will allow you to split it in two. Select the remaining bones. Rinse the cod well.

Step 3

Cut the fish into small portions. Season with salt and pepper on both sides. Squeeze out the lemon juice and sprinkle it over the fish. This will spice up your meal.

Step 4

Prepare the batter. To do this, sift a glass of flour, add salt to taste, break two eggs. And gradually, adding boiled water, stir the resulting mixture with a wooden spoon until you get rid of all the lumps.

Step 5

Prepare your deep fat fryer in advance. If you don't have one, you can use a regular deep frying pan. Pour vegetable oil into it, heat it up. The cod will need to be fried in boiling oil.

Step 6

Dip your portions of cod in batter and place in the skillet. Fry on both sides for a short time, no more than 5 - 7 minutes, so that the fish is not dry.

Step 7

Serve cod in batter with chopped fresh vegetables or rice.
