Cod is a fairly affordable fish for Russian consumers. In addition, this product is very useful, since it is in the cod that the content of microelements and vitamins necessary for the human body is high.
Cod fillet in a slow cooker
Steamed fish will literally melt in your mouth, and the multicooker assistant will help you save a lot of time and effort, since you don't have to turn the fish over and watch it not burn in the pan. Ingredients required for cooking - 4 pieces of cod fillet, a can of canned beans, a couple of tablespoons of olive oil, a bunch of green onions, a couple of garlic cloves, a sprig of mint, salt and pepper to your taste.
First, take care of onions and garlic, which are chopped and sautéed in a multicooker in oil on the “Multi-cook” mode (considered the most versatile) at a temperature of 150 ° C for literally a couple of minutes. Then put canned beans from a jar in the same multicooker bowl, salt and pepper the ingredients and add literally 100-150 ml of water.
Put the washed and thawed fish fillets on top of the above ingredients, then close the container with a lid and cook the dish for 18-20 minutes on the same mode, but at a temperature of 80 ° C.
Thus, you will get both ready-made fish and a ready-made garnish for it, and a sprig of fresh mint will make this dish even more appetizing.
Cod cutlets
This recipe will not diminish the great taste of cod in any way, so you shouldn't worry that these cutlets will not taste good. Just cook them right. So, you will need the following ingredients - 400-500 g of cod fillet, chicken egg, onions, 2 tablespoons. bran, salt, pepper and other spices to taste, 1 tbsp. lemon juice.
In this recipe, instead of the usual bread, it is better to take bran, which will make the dish tastier and healthier.
Defrost the cod fillet, cut into medium-sized pieces and scroll through a meat grinder until smooth. Chop the onion separately and add to the fish, add the bran and beat in the egg. Then mix all the ingredients very thoroughly and leave them at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes. After that, mold small cutlets from the minced meat and send them either to a double boiler, or to a slow cooker, or to a preheated pan with a little oil. In the first two, they will cook within literally 15 minutes, but if you fry cutlets in a pan, be guided only by the state of the appearance of a golden crust.
Juicy fish in Norwegian style
You will need the following ingredients - 1-1.5 kg of pink cod, half a lemon, 1 tbsp. mustard, 2 chicken eggs, 150-200 g of hard cheese, salt and pepper.
Before cooking, defrost the fish, peel it of large scales, head, all entrails and large bones, cut into pieces. In a separate bowl, prepare a cod marinade, consisting of lemon juice and mustard, to which add grated cheese and eggs, mix all the ingredients thoroughly. Pour the marinade over the peeled fish and let it brew for an hour.
After that, roll the cod pieces in flour and simmer in a pan with a little water for 12-15 minutes over low heat.
