Buckwheat porridge contains iron, fluoride, calcium, B vitamins, organic acids. The protein content in cereals is comparable to its content in meat products. Buckwheat is very easy to digest. Instructions
Step 1
Measure out the required amount of cereal. The ratio of buckwheat and water is 1: 2. That is, 1 glass of cereal should have 2 glasses of water. Remember that after boiling, buckwheat increases in volume by about 3 times.
Step 2
If necessary, sort out the buckwheat, removing small stones and other debris from it. Then rinse the cereal in several waters and let it drain well. If you have a sieve, then pour the buckwheat into it, and then rinse it right under the running water from the tap.
Step 3
Put a skillet on the fire. Place wet buckwheat in a skillet and fry for about a quarter of an hour. The groats should dry and brown a little. This is a necessary procedure if you want to get a crumbly porridge.
Step 4
Put a saucepan on very high heat with the required amount of water - twice as much as the amount of cereals. Wait until it boils and season with salt to taste.
Step 5
Reduce heat to low, and then add washed and fried cereals into boiling water. Cover the pot with a lid and cook the porridge for 15-20 minutes.
Step 6
After a quarter of an hour, open the lid and rake the porridge in the saucepan to the bottom. There should be no water at the bottom! If not all of the liquid has evaporated, keep the porridge on the fire a little more.
Step 7
After the buckwheat is ready, turn off the heat and set the pot aside. Ideally, it should be wrapped in a warm towel or a blanket and allowed to “evaporate” for another couple of hours. But if the family is already nervously knocking with spoons, demanding dinner, the porridge can be served on the table, not forgetting to first season it with butter.
