Alaska rolls are one of the most popular Japanese dishes, adapted to Western tastes. The peculiarity of this recipe is that the pressed nori seaweed is not outside, but inside the roll. It is not difficult to make Alaska rolls at home, the main thing is that you have all the necessary ingredients.

It is necessary

  • - 200 g of boiled Japanese rice;
  • - 200 g of crab meat or 1 pack of crab sticks;
  • - 100 g of Philadelphia cheese;
  • - 1 cucumber;
  • - 1 avocado;
  • - 50 g sesame seeds;
  • - 3 sheets of pressed nori seaweed.

Instructions

Step 1

Cover the bamboo mat with a special cling film and put a compressed sheet of nori algae on it. Spread the cooked Japanese rice evenly over the surface of the sheet, leaving 1 cm uncovered from each edge.

Step 2

Turn the sheet over so that the surface with the rice is on the cling film, and the algae sheet is on top. If desired, the nori leaf can be brushed with a thin layer of wasabi. Then, on the center of the sheet, apply a layer of Philadelphia cream cheese approximately 2 cm thick. Cut the cucumber into thin strips and spread them on the cheese layer, evenly distributing them along the entire length.

Step 3

Soak crab meat or crab sticks in soy sauce, cut into slices and put them on cucumbers. Peel the avocado, divide it into two equal parts and cut into small slices. Then put the avocado slices on a layer of cheese with cucumber strips and slices of crab meat.

Step 4

We begin to gently twist the roll until it takes the shape of a bar. Fry the sesame seeds for 5-7 minutes in a pan without oil, then sprinkle them on the finished rolls.
