- - 1 lemon
- - 1 kg of sugar
Instructions
Step 1
Collect 250 Dandelion Flowers. It is best to pick flowers on a hot sunny afternoon away from the city and highways on forest lawns and along river banks. You need to start preparing honey immediately after collecting fresh dandelions.
Step 2
Free flowers from stems and green rosettes, rinse and dry, cut one lemon. Bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Pour the flowers and lemon together with the zest into boiling water. Simmer for 10-15 minutes over medium heat. After that, remove the pan to the side, cover with a lid and leave the broth to infuse for a day.
Step 3
When the lemon-flowered broth is infused, it must be poured into another container, filtering through cheesecloth. Wrap the mixture in cheesecloth and squeeze out the remaining liquid thoroughly.
Step 4
Add one kilogram of sugar to the resulting broth, mix. Cook this consistency for 1-1.5 hours over medium heat until tender. The honey is ready when the syrup is thick.
Step 5
Pour honey into jars directly boiling and immediately close the lids. Before this, the jars must be rinsed and slightly heated.
Step 6
After cooking, cool the honey using an insulating pad. The product can be stored for up to 8 months in a dark and cool place.
