An original oriental dish that is remembered for its unexpectedly bright taste and national flavor.
It is necessary
- - 620 g of lamb;
- - 260 g of onions;
- - salt pepper;
- - zira;
- - 70 ml of tamarind;
- - 25 g cardamom;
- - 25 g of cinnamon;
- - 20 ml chili paste;
- - 110 ml of orange juice;
- - 230 ml tomato sauce.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the lamb, dry with a napkin and cut into small pieces.
Step 2
Peel the onion, wash and chop finely. Thoroughly fry the meat and onions in a hot frying pan with sunflower oil.
Step 3
When the meat is well done, salt and pepper it and add cumin, mix well.
Step 4
Wash the figs thoroughly and make a bigger hole in it, like a pocket. Then fill this pocket tightly with fried meat and onions.
Step 5
Peel the garlic, chop and lightly fry it in olive oil. Then add tomato sauce, tamarind, cardamom, cinnamon, chili paste to it, mix everything and pour orange juice into this mixture.
Step 6
Put figs stuffed with meat into a frying pan in the resulting hot sauce, and continue simmering it over low heat under a lid for about 25 minutes.
Step 7
Serve the finished dish on the table, pouring plenty of sauce over it.
