Kuh is a yeast dough pie, very tender, aromatic, tasty and ruddy. Nobody knows where such an interesting name for the cake came from. They say that kukh is a mountain peak located somewhere in the Caucasus, and the pie was named after her because it turns out to be lush and tall. Perhaps kuh is just a derivative of the German word kuchen, which means “pie”. There are a lot of recipes and variations of the kitchen. Everyone bakes this cake to their liking, adding something new and interesting to it.

It is necessary

    • Milk or curdled milk 2 cups
    • egg 3pcs.
    • vanillin - 1 package
    • fresh yeast - 50g.
    • butter or margarine - 250g.
    • sugar - 1, 5 tsp.
    • flour - 6-7 cups, a pinch of slime
    • jam to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

One of the most common pie recipes called "kuh" is presented below. To begin with, a glass of sugar, salt and yeast should be diluted in slightly warmed milk. Then add half the flour, knead well and put in a warm place so that the resulting mass fits. After the mass has bubbled and approximately doubled in volume, add the beaten eggs, melted butter and the remaining flour. All these ingredients are then kneaded into the dough. And again you should let him come up. Milk in the recipe is often replaced with sour milk, and butter with margarine.

Step 2

When the dough has come a little more, it should be kneaded again and put into a regular, oiled, standard form, or rolled out into a layer 1-1.5 cm thick and put on a baking sheet.

Step 3

Next, you need to prepare the powder. The powder is made from butter, sugar, flour and vanillin. Grind fifty grams of butter with half a glass of sugar, and a bag of vanillin. You need to add enough flour to make a kind of crumb.

There is also a slightly different recipe for crumbs: chop the margarine with flour, add sugar, egg and flour. Do not knead, but simply mix everything in such a way as to make a crumb.

Step 4

Sprinkle the top of the pie with the resulting butter-sugar crumbs, let it brew a little more (twenty minutes) and put in the oven. You can spread the top of the cake with the jam you prefer, and then sprinkle with crumbs.

Step 5

The approximate cooking time for the "Kuh" pie is from half an hour to forty minutes. When the product is slightly browned, you can determine its readiness by sticking a match or a toothpick into the cake. A dry shaft will indicate that the pie is ready, the remnants of the dough on the match will indicate that the inside of the pie is still damp.
