Spicy crab rolls are a popular Japanese snack. Since it is very difficult to find fresh crab meat in our country, canned crab meat or crab sticks can be used for the recipe of this dish. Another important ingredient is spicy sauce, which can be purchased at specialty stores or prepared on your own.
It is necessary
- - 150 g of sushi rice;
- - 3 sheets of nori seaweed;
- - 150 g of canned crab meat;
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of masago caviar or sesame seeds;
- - 1 teaspoon of lemon juice;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mayonnaise;
- - 1 teaspoon of sugar;
- - 50 ml of sushi vinegar;
- - salt to taste;
- - wasabi to taste;
- - spicy sauce.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to boil the Japanese rice according to the method indicated on the package. Season the finished rice with rice vinegar, add sugar, salt and mix everything thoroughly.
Step 2
In order to prepare the filling for the roll, you will need canned crab meat and spicy sauce. Cut the crab meat (or crab sticks) into small pieces and mix with the spicy sauce. If you want to make rolls with a spicier taste, then instead of spicy sauce, you can use mayonnaise or any other sauce.
Step 3
Wrap the mat for the rolls in plastic wrap to prevent the ingredients from getting stuck between the bamboo sticks. Put a sheet of nori algae on top so that the shiny side is at the bottom. Put a layer of sushi rice on top of the sheet, grease with mayonnaise and wasabi paste. Next, lay out the prepared canned crab filling, sprinkling with lemon juice.
Step 4
Wrap the crab roll with a bamboo mat. Cut the resulting roll across into 6-8 equal parts. We lay out the finished dish on plates, decorating it with sesame seeds or masago caviar.
