Rolls (maki sushi) are a popular Japanese dish. They are small rolls, which include seaweed leaves, rice, and fillings - it can be cheese, vegetables, a variety of seafood. But, nevertheless, the basis of the rolls is rice, therefore it is so important to cook it correctly.

- 175 g Japanese rice
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp Sahara
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
Instructions
Step 1
Take 175 grams of Japanese rice and place it in a sieve or bowl. Rinse the groats with running cold water. The water should become clear.
Step 2
Place the rice in a saucepan, add 250 g of water to it. Place the pot on high heat until the water boils. Cook the rice for about two minutes, then leave it to swell under the lid for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Open the lid and let the rice swell for another 10 minutes.
Step 4
Add sugar and salt (1 teaspoon each) to the saucepan, as well as 2 tbsp. rice vinegar. Stir and reheat.
Step 5
Transfer the warmed rice to a bowl, drizzle with the marinade and stir. As a result of cooking, you should get about 450 g of rice.
