Ingredients:

  • Broth 1.5 l. or chicken meat with a bone of 0.5 kg. (can be cooked in water or vegetable broth)
  • 3-4 medium potatoes
  • Carrots 1 medium
  • Onion 1 medium
  • Half a bunch of greens
  • Garlic 2 cloves (optional)
  • Dry peas half a glass (if you cook in water, you need to take a whole glass of peas)
  • black pepper (peas for broth and ground for taste)
  • Salt
  • Vegetable refined oil 2 tablespoons

Recipe

Wash and peel onions, carrots, garlic and potatoes. Cut the onion into small cubes, grate the carrots, cut the potatoes into medium cubes, chop the garlic. My greens and chop finely.

If you want to boil the broth quickly and without hassle, bake the chicken in the oven and place it in a pot of boiling water. After reducing heat to low, add salt, bay leaf and peppercorns. The baked chicken will not foam and will improve the flavor of the broth.

To bake the chicken very quickly, cut it into small pieces; in a hot oven, this will last 10 minutes. The broth from small pieces will also cook quickly, in half an hour it will be ready. This method seems difficult, but in fact, boiling the meat for 2 hours and catching the foam is no less troublesome. Plus, a large piece is inconvenient to take out and divide into portions.

The meat can be removed and separated from the bone at will, adding only meat to the soup. This is for those who don't like bones in soup. Bay leaves and peppercorns can also be caught.

We wash the peas in water, choose not beautiful peas and throw them away. Put in a pot of water, add salt and a couple of pinches of baking soda. Peas will be cooked with soda in half an hour, just during this time the broth will be cooked.

If you boil the soup in water, then you need to add no more than two pinches of soda and the water in which the peas were cooked should not be drained, but used as broth.

While we are boiling peas and broth, you need to fry the onions and carrots in vegetable oil for 10 minutes, stirring if necessary.

After the peas are cooked, drain them through a colander and add to the broth, add fried vegetables and chopped potatoes there. Cook the soup for 12-15 minutes until the potatoes are cooked through, then add the garlic. We taste the soup and add salt if desired and add black peppercorns. Then add chopped greens and turn off the heat.

The soup is ready.
