Japanese cuisine is a combination of harmony, beauty and tradition, which is not so difficult to master. The main products used in Japanese cuisine are, of course, fish (usually slightly salted), rice, seafood and vegetables. The main dishes most familiar and common in Europe are sushi and rolls. In turn, the rolls also differ into classic, spicy, hot. Thus, any gourmet will be able to find something to their liking.

- 200 g lightly salted fish (salmon or trout)
- 2 cups rice (round grain is best)
- 1 cucumber
- 2 tablespoons Japanese vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- nori sheets
- wasabi
- pickled ginger
- soy sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the rice under cold running water. Fill with water in a 1: 1 ratio. Salt. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes. During this time, the water should completely evaporate. Remove from heat and leave covered for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Prepare a rice dressing. Dissolve 2 tablespoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of salt in 2 tablespoons of Japanese vinegar.
Step 3
Put the rice in a large dish, without stirring, and cover with the prepared dressing. Leave the rice to cool.
Step 4
Prepare the filling. Cut the fish into thin strips. Chop the cucumber into strips.
Step 5
Place a nori sheet on top of the mat. Soaked in cold water, place the rice along the entire length of the sheet with your hands, leaving 1-1.5 cm on one edge.
Step 6
Place the filling in the middle: fish, cucumber.
Step 7
Use a mat to twist the roll. Cut the resulting roll into portions.
Step 8
The finished dish is served on an open saucer with sauce and wasabi, garnished with pickled ginger. Bon Appetit!
