It is necessary

  • - 600 grams of potatoes;
  • - 100 grams of cheese;
  • - 200 milliliters of milk;
  • - 200 grams of 33-38 percent cream;
  • - salt;
  • - 1 clove of garlic.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash potatoes, peel, cut into thin slices. Their thickness should be approximately 2 millimeters.

Step 2

In the preparation of this dish, cutting is of great importance. Do not cut the potatoes very thinly, as they will shine through, but it is not recommended to cut them thickly either.

Step 3

Peel the garlic and chop very finely. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

Step 4

Pour milk, cream into a saucepan, salt, add garlic. Bring to a boil and lower the potatoes. Simmer, covered over medium heat, for about 10 minutes.

Step 5

Lubricate the mold well with oil. Use a slotted spoon to remove the potatoes from the pot.

Step 6

Spread half of the potatoes in one layer, like a shingle, salt.

Step 7

Place the other half of the potatoes on top, salt again.

Step 8

Pour in the mixture that remains in the saucepan, sprinkle with grated cheese.

Step 9

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, put the dish in it, cook for 20 minutes.

Step 10

Place the potatoes on a plate with the sauce in which the dish was baked.
