I don't like experiments in the kitchen, so I cook exclusively according to recipes that have been proven over the years. So I canned pepper in this way for many years. Everyone who tried this bright and aromatic dish was simply delighted.

It is necessary

  • - Sweet peppers of different colors - 5 kg,
  • - peppercorns - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • - bay leaves - 5 pcs.,
  • - cloves - 5 buds,
  • - garlic - 5 cloves,
  • - ground chili - half a tsp,
  • - water - 2 l,
  • - salt - 2 tbsp. l.,
  • - sugar - 6 tbsp. l.,
  • - vinegar - 2 tbsp. l.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash the pepper, cut off the stalks, remove the seeds and cut into strips 3-4 cm wide. Wash and sterilize the jars. We collect water in a saucepan. Add salt, sugar, vinegar. Bring to a boil.

Step 2

If necessary, add salt or vinegar to the marinade. Dip the pepper in the marinade and cook over very low heat for 5-6 minutes. The pepper should not become soft or soft. At the bottom of each jar, put peppercorns, cloves, bay leaves, add chili and garlic.

Step 3

Now we take out the pepper from the marinade and put it in the jars while still hot. The pepper must be laid tightly, pressing lightly. We bring the marinade to a boil. Fill them with peppers. We cover the jars with lids, roll up and turn over for 10-12 hours. You can store such peppers in a dark place. Peppers preserved in this way are the best addition to fried potatoes.
