Honey cake is a fairly popular dessert and also very tasty. And with this recipe, you can cook it very quickly and easily. The fact is that the cakes are cooked here not in the oven, but in a frying pan, which greatly simplifies the whole process.
Ingredients:
- 100 g butter (1/2 part into the dough, and the rest into the cream);
- 300 g granulated sugar (1/2 part into cream, the rest into dough);
- 600 ml cow's milk;
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 50 g of bee honey;
- 3 cups wheat flour for dough and 50 g for cream;
- 4 chicken eggs and 1 more yolk for cream.
Preparation:
- The first step is to start preparing the dough. To do this, combine ½ part of the butter, bee honey, and granulated sugar in a not very large saucepan. Then the container is put on a small fire. Its contents must be constantly stirred until it becomes very liquid.
- Next, baking soda is placed in a saucepan, as well as eggs, which should be beaten well beforehand. It is necessary to spread the eggs in the resulting mass very carefully, in portions and constantly stirring the contents of the pan. The fact is that if this is not done correctly, then the eggs can curl. After that, continue heating the mass until foam appears. Then the container is removed from the fire.
- Then add pre-sifted flour to the resulting slightly cooled mass and knead the dough. After that, it should be divided into small pieces of equal volume (there must be an even number of them).
- Now you can start cooking the cakes. To do this, each piece must be rolled into a not very thick layer, giving it the desired shape and size. Then it is fried on both sides over medium heat in a skillet without adding oil.
- When the cakes are ready, you can proceed to making the cream. To do this, pour 400 ml of milk into a small saucepan and place it on a hot stove. In another container, granulated sugar and yolk are combined and everything is thoroughly whipped. Pour 1 large spoonful of flour into the milk that remains and mix well.
- After the contents in the pan boil, the rest of the milk is poured into it, as well as the sugar mixed with the yolk. Then, with continuous stirring, it is necessary to bring the cream to a thickening. Before removing the pan from the stove, put the right amount of butter in it.
- Then each cake should be coated with cream and folded one on top of the other. The sides of the cake are also coated with cream. As a sprinkling, crumb made from scraps of cake layers is used.
