Dishes cooked with the help of the oven are very helpful when there is no time and desire to stand at the stove. Moreover, they are perfect both for a meal with the family and for treating guests. Pork ribs with potatoes are just such a dish. Many people like to treat themselves to ribs, especially the representatives of the stronger sex are delighted with them. - - pork ribs - 1200 g;
- - potatoes - 1500 g;
- - onions - 3 pcs.;
- - lemon - 0.5 pcs.;
- - soy sauce - 2 tbsp. l.;
- - dried cilantro (coriander) - 1 tsp;
- - ground black pepper - 1 tsp;
- - red hot pepper - 1/3 tsp;
- - red bell pepper (paprika) - 0.5 tsp;
- - salt;
- - sunflower oil - 1 tbsp. l.;
- - baking dish, foil.
Instructions
Step 1
In order for the pork ribs to be as juicy and tasty as possible, they must first be marinated. Rinse them under running water and chop them into 8-9 pieces, dry them, and then put them in a bowl or saucepan.
Step 2
Remove the husk from the onion, cut it into half rings and transfer to a separate bowl. Add 0.5 teaspoon of salt to it and remember well that the onions give juice, and then move it to the meat.
Step 3
Now add all the spices - black, red hot, red sweet peppers, coriander (which must first be chopped in a mortar or walked over it with a rolling pin), as well as a little more salt (to taste). Mix everything together thoroughly so that each rib is covered with spices and onions.
Step 4
After that, pour the soy sauce into the bowl to the meat. Squeeze 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and add that too. Stir again, then cover or cling film and leave to marinate. The term depends on your timing. The standard pickling time is from 2 hours to night. If you marinate for 2-3 hours, then let the bowl sit on the table. If more, then it is better to put it in the refrigerator. But here one point should be taken into account: the longer the ribs are marinated, the more saturated they will taste.
Step 5
When the time is up, prepare a baking dish and brush with sunflower oil. Peel and rinse the potatoes. Cut each tuber into 4-6 pieces, depending on the size.
Step 6
Now remove the ribs from the bowl, peel them from the onions (they will no longer be useful) and place in the mold. Place around potatoes, which need to be salted and sprinkled with black pepper.
Step 7
Turn on the oven and set the temperature to 180 degrees. When it's warmed up, send the ribs and potato pan to bake for 80 minutes. During the cooking process, check the meat - if it starts to dry out from above, then you can pour it with the marinade that remains in the bowl. Or, from the very beginning, cover the form with foil, and then remove it 30 minutes before the end of the time so that the ribs with the potatoes are golden brown.
Step 8
When the dish is ready, remove it from the oven. The most effective way is to serve ribs with potatoes to the table, transferring them to a large dish. Or, simply divide into portions. For starters, offer a vegetable salad, fresh herbs, or pickles.
