  • - 3 mangoes
  • - 1 lemon
  • - 250 g sugar
  • - 5 g pectin
  • - a pinch of cinnamon
  • - 40 ml light rum

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to peel the mango, cut the pulp and cut into cubes. You should get about 500 grams. If it turned out differently, then you need to change the amount of sugar accordingly.

Step 2

Lemon should be immersed in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then wipe off and remove the zest from it with a fine grater.

Step 3

Put the mango in a saucepan, cover it with sugar. Put the grated zest, a pinch of cinnamon there and pour in the rum.

Step 4

Mix everything and heat over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes over medium heat.

Then turn off the heat and grind the mixture until smooth with a hand blender, after removing the cinnamon.

Step 7

As it cools, the jam should gradually thicken, so you need to quickly transfer it to clean jars and close.

Step 8

Mango jam can be used just like that, you can add it to baked goods.
