This hearty and delicious salad is prepared in 30 minutes. It is served both for a family dinner and for any occasion. You can add spicy herbs, basil, parsley and olives to it, decorate the dish with tomatoes.

It is necessary

  • • 1 package of smoked cheese (for example, braids);
  • • 400 g of ham;
  • • 1 can of canned corn;
  • • 5 eggs;
  • • 150 g of mayonnaise;
  • • parsley greens;
  • • lettuce leaves;
  • • 1 pickled cucumber;
  • • 1 can of olives;
  • • dry herbs and basil;
  • • 5 small fresh tomatoes;
  • • several slices of white bread;
  • • 2 tbsp. olive oil.

Instructions

Step 1

Hard-boiled eggs, peel and finely chop. Cut the smoked cheese into thin strips, and cut the ham into small cubes. Pour eggs, ham, cheese and chopped herbs into a deep plate, mix well.

Finely chop the pickled cucumber and add with the olives to the rest of the ingredients. These foods will make the dish spicier, and if you want the salad to be tender, the cucumber and olives are not needed.

Then fill in canned corn, pour with mayonnaise and mix well again. Salt to taste, add herbs and basil. Place lettuce or Chinese cabbage leaves on a large platter, put the salad on top and sprinkle it with croutons. Wash the tomatoes and cut each into four parts, put them in a circle on a platter. The ham and cheese salad can also be garnished with fresh cucumbers and olives.

To prepare this dish, you can use store croutons, but it is better to cook homemade ones. To do this, cut the slightly stale bread into thin slices or cubes. Mix the olive oil and salt, roll the bread in them, put the croutons on a baking sheet and bake in the oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes. Add the croutons to the salad only after cooling completely.
