It is necessary

  • - milk - 75 ml;
  • - sugar - 50 g;
  • - dry yeast - 0.5 teaspoon;
  • - mashed potatoes - 170 g;
  • - egg - 1 piece;
  • - vanillin - 1 sachet;
  • - flour - 350 g;
  • - nutmeg - a pinch;
  • - salt - 0.25 teaspoon;
  • - butter - 60 g.

Instructions

Step 1

Pour the milk into a saucepan, place on the stove and heat slightly. Then combine warm milk with the following foods: dry yeast and granulated sugar. Mix thoroughly. Put the resulting mixture in a warm place for about a quarter of an hour.

Step 2

Mix the prepared yeast mass with mashed potatoes. Add the egg and vanillin there. Mix thoroughly.

Step 3

Divide the flour into 2 parts. Combine one of them with nutmeg and salt and sift through a sieve. Then add this mixture to the potato mass. Stir. Next, add softened butter and the rest of the flour. Introduce the second gradually, in small portions. Knead the dough, then cover with cling film and set to rise in a warm place. It should be 2 times larger than it was originally.

Step 4

Roll out the resulting dough with a rolling pin so that its thickness is 7 millimeters. Let stand for 25 minutes. Then cut into any shape, such as circles or squares, and fry on each side until golden brown.

Step 5

Blot the finished treat with paper towels to remove excess oil. The potato crumpets are ready! You can serve them with sour cream.
