If you and your kids love marmalade, then you don't have to buy it in the store! A home-made orange treat will be much tastier, more aromatic, and juicier. Preparing such marmalade is very simple.
It is necessary
- - oranges - 6 pcs.;
- - sugar - 200 g;
- - vanilla sugar - ½ teaspoon;
- - gelatin - 30 g.
Instructions
Step 1
Pour gelatin with 100 ml of cold water, mix and leave for 10 minutes to swell.
Step 2
Peel off 1 tablespoon of zest from oranges, and then squeeze the juice in any convenient way. It turns out about 150 ml of juice. We pour it into a saucepan. Grind the zest and throw it there.
Step 3
We put the saucepan on the fire and bring the juice to a boil, after which we cook for about 5 minutes. Then we filter.
Step 4
We put the gelatin solution in a water bath and heat, stirring, until it melts.
Step 5
Pour the strained orange juice into a saucepan with a thick bottom. Dissolve half a teaspoon of vanilla sugar in it. Then pour 200 g of granulated sugar into the center of the pan. Heat over medium heat, without stirring, until sugar is completely dissolved. Then add the dissolved gelatin, mix thoroughly and remove from heat. After adding gelatin, you do not need to boil the solution.
Step 6
Pour the resulting syrup into a mold. You can use a large mold, and after hardening, cut the marmalade into cubes. You can also use small molds of various shapes, then after hardening the marmalade will only have to be removed from them. Cool at room temperature, and then put in the refrigerator for one and a half to two hours.
Step 7
Roll the finished marmalade in sugar, powdered sugar or sesame seeds.
