Shakkar Para are incredibly mouth-watering, crunchy and flavorful crackers that are very popular in India.
It is necessary
- - Flour - 1 glass
- - Semolina - 1/4 cup
- - Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- - Water (warm 1/2 cup - into dough, 1/2 cup - into syrup) - 1 cup
- - Sugar - 3/4 cup
- - Coconut flakes - 3 tbsp. l.
- - Cardamom (ground, if available) - 1/2 tsp.
Instructions
Step 1
Mix 1 cup flour, ¼ cup semolina and 2 tablespoons oil. Mix well with your hands. Add water and knead the dough.
Step 2
Wrap the prepared dough in a plastic bag or plastic wrap and leave for about 30 minutes.
Step 3
Divide the resulting dough into two equal parts. Roll each of them into a round pancake. Make a lot of holes in the text with just a fork.
Step 4
Cut the dough into small squares with a knife.
Step 5
Pour a large amount of oil into a deep frying pan. Heat over high heat. Put the resulting squares in the pan. Fry over medium heat until golden brown. Place the cooked crackers on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Step 6
Coconut syrup In a saucepan, mix a third of a glass of sugar and half a glass of water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Boil the syrup until it halves.
Step 7
Turn off the heat and add three tablespoons of coconut flakes and half a teaspoon of ground cardamom to the syrup. Mix everything well.
Step 8
Pour the crackers into saucepans with syrup and stir well to coat the crackers with an even layer of syrup.
Step 9
Spread the crackers evenly on a flat surface and let them cool until the end.
