Instructions

Step 1

We put a large pot of water for the spaghetti on the fire, it should boil so that you can boil the pasta at the same time as cooking the other ingredients.

Step 2

Peel the onion and cut into very thin rings, set aside. Separate the head of shrimp, remove the shell with legs, remove the tail, cut the meat into 2-3 pieces.

We make cuts on the tomatoes crosswise, dip them in boiling water for 30 seconds, remove the peel. Cut the tomatoes in half, remove the core with seeds, cut the remaining pieces into small neat cubes, transfer to a plate.

Step 4

We boil the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package, but so that they do not boil over, but are al dente.

Step 5

Heat oil in a frying pan, simmer onion for 1-2 minutes. Add the tomatoes with the juice they gave, mix gently and leave on low heat for 10 minutes to evaporate the excess liquid. Then add oregano, capers and shrimp pieces. If the shrimps are fresh, simmer them for 2-3 minutes until the color changes, if boiled, then 1-2 minutes are enough for them to warm up. Salt and pepper to taste.

We put the finished spaghetti in a colander so that all the water is glass. Add the pasta to the pan, mix gently and leave on low heat for literally a couple of minutes so that the spaghetti will absorb the taste of the sauce. Decorate with herbs before serving.
