Pickled cucumbers are not only suitable for cold appetizers. With them you can cook sauces, soups, hot dishes with meat, fish, poultry. Salty-spicy cucumber taste adds piquancy and originality to dishes. Feel free to experiment by mixing new ingredients: aromatic herbs, spices, cream, honey.
It is necessary
- Pickled cucumber and tomato salad:
- - 2 large sweet tomatoes;
- - 2 pickled cucumbers;
- - 1 small red onion;
- - vegetable oil for refueling;
- - a bunch of greens;
- - salt;
- - freshly ground black pepper.
- Meat with pickles and honey:
- - 800 g of lean beef;
- - 4 pickles;
- - 1 glass of cream;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of olive oil;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of butter;
- - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of flour;
- - 2 onions;
- - 3 tbsp. spoons of honey;
- - salt;
- - ground black pepper.
- Sour cream sauce with pickles:
- - 1 glass of sour cream;
- - 2 pickled cucumbers;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 sweet pepper;
- - parsley and dill;
- - salt;
- - ground black pepper.
- Hot sandwiches:
- - 6 slices of white bread;
- - 60 g of cheese;
- - 4 pickles;
- - 1 egg;
- - 60 g ham;
- - 100 ml of cream.

Step 1
Pickled cucumber and tomato salad
Try a light vegetable dish with a savory touch. Cut the red onion into thin rings, the tomatoes and pickles into neat slices. Put vegetables in a salad bowl, fill them with vegetable oil, add finely chopped parsley and dill. Salt and pepper the salad, then stir it thoroughly and serve with meat and potato dishes.
Step 2
Meat with pickles and honey
Wash and dry the beef, remove films and fat. Cut the meat into small pieces. Heat the oil and butter in a deep skillet. Chop the onion, put it in a pan and, stirring occasionally, fry until golden brown. Add the meat to the onion and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, add honey. Pour in water, cover the pan with a lid and simmer for about an hour.
Step 3
Cut pickled cucumbers into thin strips. Combine a few tablespoons of broth from a skillet with sifted wheat flour and stir until smooth. Add flour mixture and cucumbers to the meat, stir and bring to a boil. Then pour the cream into the skillet and heat again. Serve the meat on warmed plates, accompanied by green salad and mashed potatoes.

Sour cream sauce with pickles
This delicious, refreshing sauce can be served with fish, grilled chicken, potato pancakes or fries. Remove the pickles from the brine, rinse them with water and dry them if necessary. Grate cucumbers on a coarse grater or chop very finely. Pass the garlic through a garlic press and add to the sour cream along with the cucumbers.
Step 5
Rinse bell peppers, remove partitions and seeds. Chop pepper, parsley and dill, add everything to the sour cream mixture. Season with salt and pepper, stir well and refrigerate until serving.
