Try making a light and delicious Italian caprese salad. There are many recipes for its preparation. One of them is with cherry tomatoes. To make caprese, take:
- 500 g cherry tomatoes;
- 200 g mozzarella cheese;
- a small bunch of basil;
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
- dried Italian herbs.
Prepare the tomatoes and herbs. Wash the cherry under cold running water and cut in half. Rinse the basil, shake it off the water and tear off the leaves. Remove the mozzarella from the brine and place on a plate. If you are using regular-sized cheese to make caprese, then it must be cut into small pieces, equal in size to cherry tomatoes. But you can also use mini mazzarella, in which case it is enough to put the balls on a plate.
Place the halves of the tomatoes between the pieces of cheese, with basil leaves on top. Drizzle over the salad with quality cold-pressed olive oil and sprinkle with dry herbs.
Easy to prepare, but hearty and flavorful cherry tomato salad is prepared in Bulgaria. To prepare this snack you will need:
- 10-12 pieces of cherry;
- 1 fresh medium-sized cucumber;
- 4 pieces of sweet bell peppers;
- 3 cloves of garlic;
- 200 g feta cheese.
- 100 g sour cream.
Crumble the cheese with your hands. Pass the garlic through a press and add to the cheese. Mix the mixture thoroughly.
Leave the chopped cheese and garlic for a few minutes at room temperature to soak the cheese with the garlic flavor.
Place whole tomatoes in a deep salad bowl. Pepper the seeds and cut into large circles or half rings. Cut the cucumber into cubes. Add vegetables to tomatoes, put feta cheese with garlic and season with sour cream. There is no need to salt the salad, as feta cheese will give the dish the necessary salty taste.
Instead of sour cream for salad dressing with feta cheese, you can take plain yogurt.
It takes a long time to cook cherry tomato salad with mustard, but the result is an excellent appetizer with excellent taste, which can even be served on a festive table. To prepare it, take:
- 1 kg of cherry tomatoes;
- 50 g of peeled walnuts.
For refueling you will need:
- 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard;
- 100 ml of walnut oil;
- 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar;
- a bunch of tarragon.
Peel the tomatoes. To make it easier for yourself, cut each fruit crosswise at the base, then dip the tomatoes in boiling water for just a few minutes. When the skin on the tomatoes bursts, remove them and immediately immerse them in cold water. It will now be easier to peel off the skin. Place the peeled tomatoes in a deep salad bowl.
Prepare a dressing. To do this, tear off the leaves of the tarragon from the stem and chop them. Combine Dijon mustard and balsamic vinegar and whisk lightly. Salt the mass and season with black pepper if desired. Continuing to beat, add butter and herbs.
Pour the dressing over the peeled cherry tomatoes and stir gently to avoid crushing the tender tomatoes. Chop the walnut kernels into crumbs and sprinkle them on the salad.
