- - 500 ml of natural yoghurt
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- - 1 cm of grated ginger root
- - a small bunch of cilantro (chopped) + a few more branches to serve
- - 1 tsp. ground chili
- - 1 tsp. ground cumin
- - salt and ground black pepper
- - 1.5 kg of chicken cut into pieces
- - small bunch of mint (chopped)
- - 1 finely chopped small cucumber
Instructions
Step 1
Put half of the yogurt in a bowl, add garlic, ginger, cilantro, chili, cumin, salt and black pepper. Make 2-3 long cuts in each chicken and place in the seasoned yogurt. Cover and refrigerate for 6-8 hours.
Step 2
Preheat oven to 200 ° C. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender, turning once (or grill for about 35 minutes, turning frequently).
Step 3
Combine leftover yogurt with mint and cucumber. Serve the chicken with mint sauce, sprinkled with cilantro leaves.
